ABOUT HUGO QUINTERO
Hugo Orlando Quintero holds a degree in Education with a specialization in Musical Pedagogy. Currently, he serves as a health educator for agricultural workers and their families with NC FIELD Sembrando Salud. He graduated in Education and Musical Pedagogy from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. His professional life took a significant turn when he moved to the United States with his family. Driven by a strong desire to actively engage with the community, he has undergone continuous training in various areas of health service delivery and disease prevention.
After twenty years of teaching music at different educational levels, Hugo worked as a liaison between Lenoir County public schools and agricultural families, ensuring that children received appropriate educational services. Later, he served as a liaison between the Kinston Clinic and agricultural families, facilitating the delivery of healthcare services to the agricultural worker population and their families in the region. Currently, he is affiliated with NC Field (Sembrando Salud) as an outreach worker, navigator, and health educator.
